Custom Boards

There are literally thousands of snowboards out there for sale, straight off the shelf, so why would you want to take the time out to customize your own board? Surely it has to be too much effort, right? Knowing what kind of wood you need, how to put the whole thing together so it doesn’t look completely amateur and everyone laughs at you when you turn up on the piste. Wrong. There are a number of companies which can do it for you—companies who have all the expertise and are happy to work with your creative thinking; all you have to do is follow the simple instructions.
One such company is Ride Harder.
What’s so good about these kind of companies? Well, most of them offer some kind of warranty—three years or more. And you can do all this from the comfort of your own home!
Snowboard building companies have galleries full of images, or you can upload your own image and they’ll make it look fantastic, staying in touch with you so that the vision you had is fully realized.
Or maybe you’d rather have total control? If so then there are many websites which can instruct you about how to do it yourself, such as ehow.
The only down-side of building a board in your garage is the tool side of things: some of which you probably won’t have at home. But, if you’re good with your hands and can rent a grinder and a saw from someone, then there’s no reason why it can’t be done. If you decide to do so then think carefully about the kind of wood you’d like to use: maple and birch are a good starting point. Design is only limited by your imagination.
One last thing, I have just registered that I have been staring at my computer screen for the last little while and am really tired of my Battlestar Galactica Wallpaper, I think it is time for a revision, these and more updates coming soon!
