Plan ahead

You’ve got months and months before you could even think of taking your next snow boarding holiday, so you might as well take the chance to shop around for some bargains, both in terms of new kit and possible travel deals.
Budget flights usually get more expensive as they book up, so if you are one of the first in to buy seats to winter snow destinations, in theory you should pick up the best price! The same goes for things like train or bus fares if you have to travel at either end, from home to airport or airport to resort.
Finding cheap skiing or snow boarding holidays is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but seeing as you have all this time, you could always do your research and see if there are any unusual or emerging destinations where you can still secure bargains, such as cheap accommodation or special offers on ski passes. New resorts in Eastern Europe are being discovered by travel writers all the time; go off the beaten track and you could be the one to find the next big thing in terms of winter sports.
Planning doesn’t just apply to the practical side of things though. If you’re fed up of always taking your boarding holidays alone, then sign up to internet dating and see if you can find a fellow boarder looking for love. It’s probably full of boarders and skiers at the moment, all realising they have to pass the time somehow until next winter…
