Snowboarding In Bormio, Italy
Bormio is a town located in the northern part of Italy and is a part of the Alps. The town has hot springs that are tapped for the spa baths located in the vicinity of the town. But Bormio is best known as a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding the same way Rowan Dartington is known for investing.
Bormio is a charming and picturesque place and is known for its churches, palaces, museums, spa facilities and as mentioned earlier ski resorts. The peak season for skiing and snowboarding in Bormio is between December and April. Skiers and snowboarders will take a lift, capable of carrying 19,000 skiers and snowboarders per hour, and take them to the starting point of the world famous 33 kilometers varied pistes.
One of the snowboarder’s preferences is the Bormio Snowpark, a park that extends 600 meters along the side of the Alpine Star run. This 11-zone area is devoted to boarders and skiers. Bormio Snowpark has areas for beginners, intermediates and experts. Zones 1-3 are for the beginners, Zones 4-6 are for the intermediates while Zones 7-11 are for the experts. The area features a welcoming area, super pipe, line jumps and series of leaps that will surely appeal the skiers and snowboarders.
Snowboarding in Bormio is very alive and is one of the reasons why people go to this scenic Italian town. The winter snowboarding seasons often find hundreds of snowboarders not wanting to leave the slopes because they are having so much fun.
